CARACAS, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The prosecutor-general of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab indicated Monday that his predecessor Luisa Ortega Diaz was an "accomplice of violence" during opposition protests, that have left over 120 dead in over four months.
In a press conference at his office, Saab said that "the prosecutor-general acted...as an accomplice of violence. History will remember the unpunished, premeditated actions of the prosecutor-general to take this country to a situation of war."
Saab, a former ombudsman, was named by the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) on Saturday to replace Ortega.
"We have reached this point so that there may be fairness and balance in these cases of human rights violations," he said, referring to the alleged violent protests organized by the opposition, including the burning alive of six people.
The opposition Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD) has denied this violence and blamed the government troops and police forces for the brutality.
Answer: they are one and the same! A rose by a different name...! All this mumbo-jumbo about Latin and Greek therapeutic terminologies had been going way over my head for a while. But, suddenly the light lit!

NEW DELHI, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- At least two people have been killed and more than 25 others injured in a road accident in northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh Wednesday, police said.
"The accident occurred when the bus with 30 people on board skidded off the road while negotiating a curve and overturned in Dalhouise in the state's Chamba district," a senior police official said.
While two passengers died on the spot, those injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents, where the condition of four are said to be serious.
"Those seriously injured will soon be shifted to Chamba district hospital," the official added.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, he said, adding that it seemed to be the fault of the bus driver who was speeding at the time of the accident.
Road accidents in the hilly state are common. In one of the worst mishaps in recent times, some 44 people were killed when a bus plunged off a mountain road in Himachal Pradesh and fell into the Tons river in April this year.
